Adopting a dog is an exciting decision, and we want the process to feel simple, personal, and thoughtful.
Our goal isn't just to find a home for a dog.
It's to find the right home for that particular dog.
Every dog has a different personality, history, energy level, and set of needs. That's why we take the time to get to know both our dogs and potential adopters.
Start by completing our adoption application.
The application helps us learn a little more about you, your household, your lifestyle, your experience with dogs, and what you're looking for in a companion.
There are no "perfect" answers. We simply want to understand your situation so we can help determine whether one of our dogs may be a good fit.

After we receive your application, we'll review it and reach out for a quick conversation.
This isn't an interrogation or an interview.
It's simply an opportunity for us to chat through your application, answer your questions, learn a little more about what you're looking for, and discuss the dog you're interested in.
We want you to feel comfortable asking questions too!
We will contact your references that you have provided in the application.
We will make sure they ensure your qualities as a pet owner!
If everything looks like a potential match, we'll arrange a meet-and-greet.
This is where you get to meet your potential Forever Friend in person and see how everyone gets along.
Depending on the dog and the circumstances, we may also discuss introductions with other household members or pets.
We want the experience to feel comfortable and positive for everyone involved. Sometimes the first dog you meet won't be the right match, and that's okay.
Our priority is finding the right match.
If the meet-and-greet goes well and everyone agrees that it's a good match, it's time to bring your new family member home!
At pickup, we'll complete the final adoption and handover paperwork and go over any important information you need to know about your new dog.
We want every adoption to begin with the information, preparation, and support needed to give both the dog and their new family the best possible start.
We aren't looking for a perfect adopter.
We're looking for a responsible, committed home that is a good match for the individual dog.
That means considering things like:
Every dog is different, and adoption decisions are made with the individual dog's wellbeing in mind.
We're happy to talk with you.
If you're interested in one of our dogs but aren't sure whether you're the right fit, we encourage you to apply and have a conversation with us.
Sometimes the dog you initially had your heart set on isn't the best match, but another dog may be exactly what you've been looking for!
