She is eager to find her forever home, where she can continue to grow and learn, offering endless loyalty and companionship in return. Luca has come such a long way.

When he arrived, he was facing euthanasia at the shelter with bilateral pneumonia. He was emaciated, weak and scared of his own shadow. He would cower at everyday sounds, sudden movements and the uncertainty of the world around him.

Today, Luca is getting stronger every day. He has gained 15 pounds, is healing beautifully and is beginning to understand that people can be kind. He is gentle, loving and incredibly sweet. Despite whatever he endured in his past, Luca still has a soft heart and a quiet desire to trust again.

Luca is a survivor. His future looks bright, happy and full of possibility, but he needs people willing to be part of that future.

Fostering or adopting a dog like Luca truly saves a life. Shelters are overflowing, and dogs who are sick, scared or shut down often do not get the chance they deserve. A foster home gives them safety, comfort, time to heal and the chance to show who they really are.

Luca is proof of what love, medical care, patience and a safe place can do. He went from forgotten and at risk to hopeful and thriving. Now he is ready for the next chapter with a foster or forever family who will continue showing him that he is safe, loved and finally home.

Sweet Luca needs a foster home while he recovers from a respiratory infection. He’s receiving veterinary care and is improving, but what he needs most right now is a quiet, comfortable place to rest, recover, and feel safe.

Luca is an incredibly sweet, gentle, loving boy who has been through a lot. He doesn’t need much, just a cozy place to sleep, some love, and someone willing to give him the time he needs to get healthy.

Because he is recovering from a URI, a home without other dogs would be ideal for now so he can rest and avoid exposing another dog.

Forever Friends Dog Rescue will provide his medical care and support during his recovery.
